Now that we have our staggered entries and day 1 under our belts, we are off and running! I have pictures to share but will hold off until we receive all of the paperwork back from you. If anyone has an issue with photos being displayed on this blog, please let me know.
If you have any questions about any of the information I shared in the letter I sent out on Thurs, please don't hesitate to ask.
If you are interested in ordering Scholastic books, there is a new option of paying online directly. I just enabled this feature on my class account. Please send in the form so I know what books to send home with your child.
I will be sending you home a small homework assignment tomorrow called In a Million Words or Less. I'd appreciate if you write or email to give me the inside scoop on your child. I want to stress that it is the information that is important. It can be in point form, be messy ( as long as I can read it), have stains on it from sitting on the kitchen counter, be long, or even very brief. You are the experts on your child and I just want you to share any information you think I need to know.
Tomorrow we start our Me Bag presentations. My plan is to do some tomorrow and some on Thursday. All items will be sent home at the end of the week.
I have one more thing to share. Throughout the year, I will be sharing some of the language that I use in the classroom. The first one has to do with listening. I ask the children to give me five. All this means is that good listeners listen with their:
1. Eyes
2. Ears
3. Bodies
4. Mouths ( not using them)
5. Brains
Hopefully I will have all FOIP forms back this week so I can get some pictures up to show you what we've been up to.
Take care!
